Why peoples generally fall forward while sudden break and backwards during acceleration?

Mostly during travelling we experienced a very common phenomenon that peoples generally falls forward during sudden break and backwards during acceleration in bus.

So the reason behind this is simply based on Newton Law of motion which sates that the body remains in motion untill no externall force apllied on the object.
Yes its very simple to understand this law of motion but quite
hard to co-relate it with the fact.

So in simple words

Ss the bus is moving, due to sudden brake(externall) force is aplied on the object or say passengers.According to law we must come in rest but we can't because our body is flexible not solid that it comes in rest suddeny as the break got applied.

But whats the reason why only the upper body gets move not lower body.
The reason is due to the fact that our legs come to at rest very fast because its lies very close to the ground but our upperbody does not able to come at rest soon because it lies at a fair height from the ground.

For the same reason during acceleration, our legs comes into motion in less time whereas our upper body which is at a high distance from ground level takes some more time to come in motion as compared to our legs.
